Euro Pro Toaster Oven Reviews

As with all household appliances, Euro Pro toaster ovens have their pros and cons.  While most customers are generally satisfied with the value they receive for the price they pay and are impressed with the features these ovens offer, there are those who feel that the ovens are overpriced and/or dissatisfied with the way they work.  This review will highlight some of these points of view.

Let us start by looking at some of the strengths of Euro Pro toaster ovens as reported by consumers.  Generally speaking, Euro Pro toaster ovens are liked because they are:

  • Multifunctional – People love kitchen appliances that are multifunctional and can do more.  Euro pro toaster ovens offer just that.  A Euro pro toaster lets you potentially do away with your toaster, microwave, and even your regular oven by offering the combined capabilities of all three of these appliances.  You can, in fact, use these little ovens to cook, broil, bake, toast, defrost, and reheat food.  Pretty cool, huh?
  • Easy to use – No one likes appliances with too many buttons and/or complicated operating instructions.  Euro pro toaster ovens come with separate buttons for each major function like setting the timer and temperature.  Quick and easy!
  • Easy to clean - Let’s face it – cleaning is a chore.  Why waste hours scrubbing and cleaning your oven everyday when you can buy one which you only have to wipe clean every once in a while?  Euro pro toaster ovens are designed to make cleaning a breeze.
  • Ideal for small kitchens – If you have a small kitchen, you need a space saving appliance to make the best use of the room you have available.  A Euro Pro toaster oven lets you do just that.  By offering the combined benefits of a toaster, microwave, and conventional oven, this baby can replace all three of your old appliances and sit neatly on your kitchen counter allowing you to save a TON of space.
  • Equipped with built-in timers – While not a spectacular feature, Euro Pro toaster ovens come with built in timers capable of notifying you when a programmed task is complete.  You can also set them to shut off automatically after a prescribed amount of time (say 60 minutes) thereby saving time and energy.

Having reviewed their strengths, let us now look at some of the drawbacks and criticisms faced by Euro Pro toaster ovens.  Keep in mind, however, that these criticisms reflect the views of only a segment of Euro pro users and should not be taken as general statements of fact.  Your experiences may vary depending on the specific model you purchase.  That said, some of these potential drawbacks include the following:

  • The broiling and toasting features of some models have been criticized for cooking, toasting, and heating food unevenly.  The toasting function in particular has been described as “imbalanced”. Given the same amount of time, some slices of bread have been observed to get burnt while others were barely toasted.
  • Some people have reported that it takes an inordinate amount of time to actually toast bread.  According to these reports, it can take almost 20 minutes to toast two slices of bread.
  • Some models reportedly take a long time to heat and eventually overheat to the point that the counters on which they are placed can also get very hot.  One has to be careful to not touch it or the counter to avoid getting burned.
  • Some models reportedly have racks that are “unstable” and may be hard to pull out and clean.
  • Because they are so small, Euro Pro toaster ovens can only cook a certain amount of food at a time and are therefore unsuitable for larger families.  They are best suited for singles or households of no more than three people.

Despite some reported drawbacks, most users of Euro Pro toaster ovens are generally satisfied with their purchases and rate the units they purchased with four or five stars.  As such, if you are looking for a multipurpose cooking appliance that will save you time, energy, and space a Euro Pro toaster oven may be for you.
